Science Lab Workshops

Here is the opportunity for students to attend science lab workshops and experience science hands-on! They will learn the basics of science by dissecting specimens, using microscopes, preparing microscope slides, taking microscopic photos, performing experiments, and participating in class discussions and activities. These workshops provide the hands-on experience to supplement many science curricula and allow students the opportunity to do science labs while having fun in the process.

 

  Workshops are taught by Lisa Long, a graduate of UAA with a degree in Biological Sciences. As a home-school graduate she recognizes the need for science education. Lisa teaches workshops in Wasilla, Anchorage, Fairbanks, Kodiak & Juneau.
