Grades 9th - 12th
This semester-length lab offers home school
students the opportunity to experience a hands-on approach to
science. The lab is designed to supplement any high school biology
course. It is highly recommended that students coordinate the topics
of this lab with concurrent independent study in a text book.
Students will receive a syllabus and and an assignment, so that they
come to each lab with some understanding of the topic. Students will have the opportunity to
participate in class discussions, lectures, perform dissections, conduct
experiments and work with microscopes. The goal of this workshop is
to make text-book science come to life.
Class size is limited and registration is on a
first-come, first-served basis.
This is designed to be a two semester course. The
second semester will be taught Jan-May 2008.
See end of page for location.
