We are making arrangements for these workshops and will confirm the details soon. If you are interested in attending, we invite you use the registration form to reserve a space in these workshops. There are no obligations or cancellation fees.  When the arrangements are complete and the schedule is confirmed, we will contact you by e-mail and you and you will then have the opportunity to confirm your registration. Class size is limited and registration is on a first come, first served basis. Your registration at this time would greatly assist us in planning for these labs.

By popular request, we will be offering dissection workshops for all ages. These workshops have become the new favorites. Wouldn't a snake dissection be your favorite one too?

Intro to Zoology

Let's explore biology by looking at the animal kingdom! We will study vertebrates and invertebrates while discussing principles in biology, that range from ecosystems to organ systems. Dissections of various specimens will be used to illustrate concepts.
Critter Class II : Vertebrate Study
grades 5-7 /  12:00 - 2:00
grades 8-10  /  2:30 - 4:30

This workshop is a sequel to the Critter Class.  In this study of zoology we will take a more detailed look at vertebrates and the classification system. This five-day study of vertebrates will include dissections of several specimens, including a snake and dogfish shark! Here is the opportunity to study the animal kingdom and dissect unique specimens. You will see the complexity of vertebrates how they differ from invertebrates. Each workshop will consist of a lecture period, class discussion/activity and dissection. In order to accommodate two grade ranges, two sections of this workshop will be offered. No prerequisites or prior science studies required.
